just a list of things the nyc streets have given me
for everything it takes, the city gives back fr
i moved to new york city 56 days ago. here’s a list of notable things the streets have given me so far, for free.
a bouquet of yellow daffodils (covered in fresh snowfall, but fully alive)
a leather ergonomic kneeling chair (that i’d been looking for on facebook marketplace for weeks + saw as a sign from god)
a grey knit small scarf (that i now wear almost every day)
a working vaccumn cleaner
a wooden letter-box shelf thing
a paperback copy of women talking (2018) the novel
a well-worn but extremely comfortable adidas dark blue hoodie
a pair of grey-green patched-up baggy pants (that i like to think once belonged to a painter)
a bucket hat
a carboard box of used sunglasses in all different styles (of which i took 10)
to more wonderful used things being found on the street <3
